What You’ll Do

Respond to incidents and support team operations
You’ll be trained and supported every step of the way. Corrections Deputy Recruits go through vigorous training as part of their curricula at the Training Academy. They are trained in many types of situations they may encounter as a corrections deputy in the Shelby County Jail. The basic recruit class consists of 12 weeks of training per session. Officers also go through a 40-hour In-Service refresher training annually.
